Are You Living as Achalugo?

 

In Igbo culture, names are more than just identity markers—they carry deep meanings, reflecting destiny, blessings, and purpose. One such powerful name is Achalugo, a name often given to daughters as a symbol of honor. It means the glory that does not fade or the unshakable glory. Among the Igbo people, Achalugo is a declaration that a person’s beauty, grace, and significance will not be diminished by time or circumstances.

But beyond its cultural meaning, Achalugo carries a deeper spiritual truth. It speaks of a glory that is not tied to physical beauty or human success but one that remains steadfast through life’s challenges. This mirrors the glory that comes from God—one that does not wane, no matter the trials we face.

The Bible declares:

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” — Isaiah 60:1.

For the Igbo, Achalugo represents a radiance that stands strong, a presence that cannot be ignored. In the same way, those who walk with Christ are called to reflect a glory that is unshakable. This is not the fleeting recognition of men, nor the temporary success of the world, but a divine radiance that remains even in the midst of storms.

Yet, many have settled for less. The world teaches us to chase after material success, status, and human validation. But what happens when those things fade? Are you still shining when no one is applauding? Have you allowed the weight of life’s struggles to dim your glow?

Jesus reminds us:

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16.

To live as Achalugo is to embrace your divine identity. It means refusing to let circumstances steal your joy, refusing to let fear silence your faith, and refusing to be defined by temporary achievements. The true Achalugo is one who carries the unfading glory of Christ, shining brightly in a world desperate for light.

So, take a moment and ask yourself: Are you living as Achalugo? Are you walking in the unshakable glory of God, or have you allowed life to dim your light?

No matter where you are, it’s never too late to rise again. 

You are Achalugo—let your glory shine!

“Click on It” – A Trap in Disguise

 

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." — 1 Peter 5:8

It was an ordinary day until an unexpected WhatsApp call disrupted it. The caller, introducing himself as a pastor, claimed I was in a group preparing for a Zoom meeting at 7:30 PM. Without prior knowledge of such a meeting, I listened cautiously. Moments later, a message popped up—he had sent a link.

"Click on it," he urged.

Something within me resisted. Instead of following his command, I responded calmly, "I’ll check it when the time comes."

Silence. Then a change in his tone. He realized I had seen through the deception. Without another word, he backed off. At that moment, it became clear—this was no genuine invitation. It was a trap.

Jesus warned us about false prophets disguising themselves as servants of light (Matthew 7:15, 2 Corinthians 11:14). Today, their tactics have evolved. No longer confined to pulpits, they now operate through phone calls, messages, and fraudulent links designed to lure believers into dangerous traps.

This experience was a reminder that spiritual warfare extends into the digital space. The enemy seeks to deceive, but God calls us to be watchful and discerning.

Not all who claim to be men of God are truly sent by Him (1 John 4:1). Scammers often pressure their victims to act quickly, creating a false sense of urgency. If someone insists, “Click on it now,” pause and verify. That inner check in your spirit is often God’s warning. When in doubt, step back and pray.

The devil’s traps are subtle, but those who walk in the light of Christ cannot be easily deceived. As deception increases (2 Timothy 3:13), may we remain vigilant, discerning, and anchored in the truth of God’s Word.

🗣 10,000 OF UNA NO FIT BRING ME DOWN

 

Strength isn’t just about numbers; it’s about resilience, determination, and an unshakeable belief in a superior ability. 

The phrase “ 10,000 of Una no fit bring me down ” represents the power of inner fortitude in the face of overwhelming odds. It speaks to the idea that no matter how many obstacles, challenges, or adversaries standing before you, they will not prevail if your spirit remains unbroken.

This statement is also a declaration of defiance—a refusal to be overwhelmed by pressure, opposition, or negativity. It signifies the ability to stand tall even when it feels like the whole world is against you. No wonder, David was so sure and trusted in God and  declared that “ a thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. ” This equally means that “10,000 of them” can never reach you if you make God your only refuge and habitation.

We just have to come to the realization that in life, there will always be battles, struggles, and forces trying to pull you down. Yet, the strength that comes from within (the strength that comes from the heavenly backing—grounded in confidence, purpose, and unwavering faith) can withstand even the fiercest storms. 

Always have it in mind that ten thousand may come against you, but when you stand firm in Christ, they cannot break you.

To this end, whenever you sense ‘them’, always remember to face them by saying “10,000 of Una no fit bring me down, I get backing from heaven”. 

But then, become part of the Chosen by giving your life to Christ first.

YOU GET STEEZE, BUT "SCAMMERS" DEY ASK YOUR PARENTS OTP

Nehemiah 4:14 – "After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people, 'Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.'”

Recently, I was walking down the street when my eyes caught a billboard with a striking message:

" You get steeze, but scammers dey ask your parents OTP ."

At first, I chuckled. It sounded like street slang warning against digital fraud, but then it hit me—this is deeper than just online scams. This is life. This is faith. This is spiritual warfare.

How many of us are out here shining? We’re looking all put together—posting Bible verses, attending programs, serving in church, and speaking Christianese fluently. We’ve got the steeze—spiritual swag, confidence, and charisma. But while we’re flexing, the devil, the ultimate scammer, is busy gaining access to our family’s spiritual inheritance. He’s targeting our parents, siblings, spouses, and children, and because we’re too caught up in our own spiritual appearance, we fail to see the scam happening right under our noses.

In the physical world, scammers trick people into giving away their OTPs—those unique codes that grant access to personal accounts. In the spirit, the OTP represents the keys to progress, glory, and destiny. The devil doesn’t always attack you directly—sometimes, he goes for those closest to you, knowing that if he gets them, he’s already weakened you.

I had to ask myself, Am I standing in the gap for my family? Am I fighting for my loved ones, or am I too busy flexing my own spiritual life while they are under siege?

Nehemiah saw the enemy’s schemes and called the people to action: "Fight for your families." It’s not just about looking strong in the faith—it’s about using that strength to cover those connected to us. If we’re not praying, teaching, and protecting them, who will?

The devil is relentless. His scams don’t stop. He wants to steal the purpose, joy, and salvation of our households. But here’s the truth—he only succeeds when we let him. God has given us the authority to intercede, to build spiritual walls of protection, and to ensure that the enemy never gets access to our family's divine inheritance.

So, let me ask you: While you shine, who’s guarding the OTPs of your family?
