THE GAME IS NOT OVER YET!

 

I once heard a striking story that has stayed with me ever since.

In one of Europe’s museums, there is a famous painting of a man playing chess with the devil. The man looks defeated, his head bowed in despair, while the devil sits proudly, certain of his victory. The painting carries a chilling title: “Checkmate.”

According to the artist’s message, the devil had won—the man’s soul was lost.

But one day, a chess master stood before the painting and carefully examined the position of the pieces. After studying it for a while, he exclaimed:

“Wait! This painting is wrong. The man is not in checkmate—he still has one move left!”

What looked like total defeat was not the end. There was still hope.

This story reminds me of how Satan often declares “checkmate” over people’s lives—through sin, fear, failure, sickness, or despair. But the good news of the Gospel is this: the devil’s declaration is never final. Because of Jesus Christ, there is always another move.

When Jesus died on the cross, the devil thought it was over. Darkness fell, the disciples scattered, and it seemed like defeat. But on the third day, the stone rolled away and Christ rose in victory! As Paul triumphantly declared:

“Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:54–55)

Beloved, no matter how cornered or defeated life makes you feel, remember—your story is not over. As long as Christ is on your side, there is always one more move.

✨ With Jesus, the game is not over. ✨

🚨 WHEN TROUBLE REFUSES TO LET GO, WHAT DO YOU DO? 🚨

 

Life has a way of shaking us with storms we never expected. One moment, things look fine; the next moment, it feels like the ground beneath us is giving way.

But here is the good news: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). 💥

Trouble may roar like thunder. Bills may rise higher than your income. News headlines may spread fear daily. Family or health challenges may drain your strength. Yet, in the midst of it all, there is One who never abandons His own.

👉 God is not only a refuge—your safe hiding place…

👉 He is your strength—the One who carries you when you have no more power left…

👉 And He is your present help—not a God who comes late, but One who shows up right on time!

💡 Do you know the story behind the hymn “It Is Well With My Soul”? Horatio Spafford lost his daughters at sea, yet when he sailed over the very waters where they died, he penned the words: “When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul.”

That’s the power of trusting God in times of trouble! 🙏

🔥 The storm will not last forever. The night will give way to morning. And your test will soon become your testimony!

Breaking Yesterday’s Chains, Embracing Tomorrow’s Promise

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." - Isaiah 43:18–19 

Life has a way of constantly reminding us of yesterday—our regrets, failures, and painful experiences. Many times, the enemy uses these memories to convince us that our future is permanently tied to our past. But God, in His Word, says: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.”

The chains of yesterday—whether they are fear, guilt, rejection, disappointment, or even sin—do not have the authority to define tomorrow. Chains are only temporary; God’s promises are eternal. What the enemy tried to use to hold you down cannot cancel what God has already written concerning your destiny.

Joseph is a perfect example. Though betrayed by his brothers, enslaved, and imprisoned unjustly, the chains of his past did not stop him from becoming the prime minister of Egypt. His story shows us that yesterday’s limitations cannot hinder tomorrow’s elevation.

Beloved, God is declaring to you today: “I am doing a new thing.” That means your tomorrow is not a continuation of your past failures but a fresh unveiling of His divine agenda. The wilderness of yesterday will not stop the rivers God is making to flow in your life today.

So arise with boldness! Refuse to rehearse the pain of yesterday when God is scripting a new chapter of glory for you. Walk with confidence, because the chains that held you yesterday have been broken, and nothing can stop the future God has already prepared.

Your past is a testimony, your present is a process, and your future is God’s promise in manifestation.

WHEN GOD RETRACES YOUR STEPS

 

“Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.” – Isaiah 65:24

I was set to travel and stopped at a mall to pick some essential items. In the rush to beat time, I left behind the things I had placed outside the mall—and forgot to buy the food I intended to eat before departure. Time was short, so I moved on, thinking I’d just repurchase them when I arrived at my destination.

But heaven had already gone ahead of me.

As I stood outside waiting for a cab, a fellow clergy unexpectedly pulled up and offered me a ride. A few minutes into the trip, he said politely, “Please don’t be offended, I need to make a quick stop at the mall.” To my surprise, he drove straight to the exact mall where I had left my things. Even more striking—the eatery I had missed was just opposite the spot.

Right there, I realized this wasn’t coincidence—it was providence. I didn’t retrace my steps by planning. God retraced them for me.

This is the kind of thing God does throughout Scripture:

Like Joseph, sold into slavery, only to be positioned to preserve nations (Genesis 50:20).

Like Ruth, who “happened” to glean in the field of her redeemer (Ruth 2:3).

Like Elijah, who was divinely sent to a widow already appointed to feed him (1 Kings 17:9).

God orders our steps—even the ones we didn’t realize we missed.

I thought I had lost something. But God had already planted someone on the road to help me recover it.

Sometimes God lets you forget, so you can witness how He remembers. He doesn’t just go with us—He retraces the steps we didn’t know were important.

So now I ask you:

What if the things you thought were gone are only waiting for you at a divine intersection?

What if the delay, the detour, the forgotten piece… is just God preparing a sweeter way to return it?

Would you trust Him enough… to let Him retrace your steps?

Let your soul rest—nothing truly slips away when your journey is in His hands.

BETTER DAYS ARE COMING… BUT BUY THE FUTURE NOW

"The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down." – Proverbs 21:20

Yes, better days are coming—but not by accident.

Not by chance.

Not just by prayer alone.

They come to those who prepare with purpose and prophetic insight.

Joseph didn’t wait for the famine to begin before he started saving.

Noah didn’t wait for the clouds to darken before building the ark.

The wise virgins didn’t wait for the midnight cry before buying oil.

They bought the future in advance—and when the moment came, they were ready.

🌱 Buy the future now by sowing in faith when it’s not yet raining.

🙏 Pray when it’s still quiet.

📖 Study when no one is clapping.

🔥 Burn with purpose when no one is watching.

🛠️ Build in secret what God will reveal in public.

Better days are not just promises—they are investments.

You don’t stumble into greatness, you prepare for it.

You don’t arrive at destiny by luck—you walk there daily by obedience.

The future won’t wait for you to “get ready.”

It will come suddenly, like the sound of the trumpet at midnight.

Will you have oil in your lamp… or excuses on your lips?

Don’t just hope for the future—buy it.

Don’t just declare “my time will come”—live like the countdown has begun.

God has prepared great things. The question is: Are you preparing for them?

WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR MAY ALREADY BE IN YOU

 

“You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.” — Psalm 145:16

A friend of mine just got a phone—sleek, fast, and filled with impressive features. As we tested it together, I admired how well it functioned, and quietly, something in me wished for an upgrade too. I began to feel my phone was outdated, that I was missing out on something better.

But a few days later, something remarkable happened. I took time to explore my own phone. To my surprise, the very feature I admired in his device—what I thought made his better—was actually on mine too. I simply hadn’t looked deep enough to find it.

Many times in life, we envy others not because we lack, but because we haven’t discovered what we already have. We think someone else is better, more gifted, or more equipped—until we take a closer look inside ourselves. God has deposited treasures in you that only searching hearts can find. You don’t always need to change your life—you might just need to check again.

Some marriages aren’t failing—they just need rediscovery. Some dreams aren’t dead—they just need rekindling. Some people aren't behind—they're simply not aware of the grace they already carry.

The prodigal son wanted more, but he forgot he already lived in his father's house. Eve wanted to be "like God," not knowing she was already made in His image.

You are not empty. You are not lacking. Look deeper.

Let today be the day you stop comparing and start discovering. God has already placed in you more than you imagine—gifts, wisdom, peace, grace, solutions, and beauty. Don’t covet what others carry until you have searched your own soul. You might just realize—you’ve been carrying greatness all along.

And if only you would dare to explore your own life like I explored that phone.

You may just realize: the very thing you admire in others has always been in you too.

Because sometimes, God doesn’t need to add anything new to your life—He just needs you to recognize what’s already there.

 OLUWATOSIN - THE JESUS THAT I KNOW IS ENOUGH FOR ME 🎶🎵

Even you… you dey sing "Oluwatosin"

Your lips echo the rhythm, your voice joins the chorus, but deep down—Jesus is never enough for you. You still chase power through yahoo. You still search for validation through hookups. You still bow to the god of fast money, hoping riches will fill the void inside.

But tell me—how can you call God worthy (Oluwatosin) when your heart says otherwise? How can you lift His name high while your life is still buried in what breaks His heart? Is the name just a vibe to you, or is it a truth you live by?

The Jesus I know is not a background tune to trending songs—He is the Foundation of life (1 Corinthians 3:11). He is not a backup plan when hustle fails—He is the Source of every good thing (James 1:17). He is not a decoration for your Instagram story—He is the King of kings, worthy of honor, surrender, and devotion.

Many may sing Oluwatosin while their hearts bow to wealth, pleasure, and deceit. But I choose to sing it as a declaration: God is enough for me.

 You don’t need shortcuts to riches that vanish with time. What you need is the blessing that lasts—the one that adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22).

So next time you sing Oluwatosin, pause and ask yourself: Am I just chanting the name, or am I living the name?

Because at the end of the day, Jesus is either enough for you—or He is not.
